Moisture -Weather -Resistant - Unlike conventional concrete masonry units (CMU) which allows moisture to be wicked throughout the entire element, AAC’s closed cell design prevents that from happening. It is resistant to the growth of mold and mildew. |

Fire Resistant - The American Insurance Association shows that the largest source of disaster damage to homes is caused by fire. AAC has over forty (40) UL fire certificates. In fact, 4” AAC elements or thicker achieve a four (4) hour fire rating as per UL testing. |

Speed of Construction - By using lightweight AAC components, Delta Core is able to increase installer productivity, reduce overall project construction time, and minimize the risk of worker injury that may result from worker fatigue. Reduced project time saves money! |

Thermal Insulation - Due to its unique physical structure, AAC provides greater thermal insulation than that of conventional masonry. No additional insulation systems are needed. AAC 10” material performs better than a stud wall with R-30 insulation. |

Acoustic Insulation - AAC materials absorbs more sound than conventional masonry products, effectively reducing sound wave transmission. An unfinished AAC wall eight inches thick provides an STC value of 50. Higher values can be achieved once rendered wall finishes are applied. |

Pest Resistance - DCBS structures are impenetrable by insects, rodents or other types of pests that like to eat or nest inside the walls of a building structure. Termites cause millions of dollars of damage every year to all types of buildings, but not structures built out of AAC.

Sustainable - The DCBS using AAC as its primary building component provides many environmental benefits. Among its many green qualities are: It is inert, inorganic and contains no VOC’s. It does not support the growth of mold and mildew. It uses less energy in manufacture than other masonry products and does not emit pollutants to the atmosphere.

Workability - AAC weighs 20% of standard concrete. Fewer pilings, smaller pile caps and shallower footings can now be considered in the design of the building’s foundation system. AAC is also easy to cut and tool, with most modifications being accomplished utilizing common hand woodworking tools. |
